This film is about a Mob Boss kidnapping two detectives's friend, Samantha. The Mob Boss and the detectives have always had tension, because the mob boss is always being tracked and watched by the detectives.

Filming Schedule
December 6, 2019 We filmed on December 6, 2019. We wanted to show the progression of time during the scenes, so we filmed a few scenes during the day, then we edited and waited for nighttime. The night gives the film a mysterious feel to it and leaves the viewer in suspense. Filming went very well, and we were able to do most of our scenes in only one or two takes.
Midterm Submission - The Mob Boss
Link to the film The Film starts off with flashbacks of tension between the mob boss and the detectives. The film was developed with imovie and an app called Splice.
Casting
Leonardo - The Mobster - Jacob: We chose me to be Leonardo because typically, Italian mobsters are male. Also, my black hair and necklace fit the typical mobster look. Leonardo is a very secretive, cunning, and smart man. Isabella - Stupid Detective - Nicole: We chose Nicole to be Isabella because Nicole is very smart, but can be clueless sometimes. Isabella is also a smart detective, but is clueless to her surroundings. Her stupidity adds a comedy aspect to the film. Francesca - Smart Detective - Grace: We chose Grace to be Francesca because Grace is always making fun of Nicole for her clueless personality. We thought there two combating personalities would add comedy and make the audience laugh. Samantha - Girl who is kidnapped - Emily: While Emily isn't in our group, she is friends with all of us. She also lives near Grace, so she was a perfect extra. Samantha is an athletic girl who finds herself in bad situations often.
Scout Locations
Grace's Neighborhood/House/Yard Twin Lakes Park Arlington Park We ended up picking Grace's Neighborhood. We picked it because it is a controlled setting, so whatever we wanted and didn't want in the scene, we could put them or take them away. If we went to Twin Lakes or Arlington, we wouldn't be able to make it exactly what we wanted, and we would have to worry about other people being in the background. Filming at Grace's house gave us access to inside, if we chose to film there.
