Today in class we analyzed some title sequences from ArtoftheTitle.com. Because our film is a drama, the title should be pretty serious. The opening title needs to create a good first impression, so the audience is engaged. Some examples we liked were:  I liked "the Politician" because of the simplicity. The title doesn't give to much of the film away and creates a mysterious tone. The font is very professional and makes the film look well made.     I also liked "Control" because of the font. It looks very futuristic and makes it seem like the movie is going to be set in some kind of dystopian future. 

How does your product use or challenge conventions of your genre? Our film challenges conventions of typical drama films because we incorporate comedy. The relationship Francesca and Isabella have is funny because Isabella is not very smart but she is hardworking. Francesca is very smart but pretty lazy. Our camera-shots, such as an over-the-shoulder, and a low angle shot, are common in drama films and help add suspense to the film. For example, the long shot of Leonardo kidnapping Samantha, shows an innocent girl in a quiet neighborhood, and then a "bad guy" taking her away. In the opening scene, there is incidental music, which adds suspense to the film to keep the viewer engaged. How does your project represent social groups or issues? Our film represents the social groups of the mobsters, the cops, and the constant tension between them. While they may not be as prevalent as they were 50 and 60 years ago, mobsters still exist today. They are constantly at battle with...

Before I submit my final project to AICE, I plan to make many revisions. For example, I plan to film an extra scene to make the film more understandable, without giving to much away. Also, we plan to change Leonardo's costume to make it look more like a mobster. This helps the overall quality of the film because it makes it more professional, and it shows why Samantha, the runner, is so scared of Leonardo. We plan to re-shoot our ending scene with the conversation between Isabella and Francesca. I plan to also add a little extra examples to my blog posts to make the blog more professional.
